Notes from a *massive headdesk* day

 On yesterday:

Teacher B came in yesterday evening as I was trying to sort out vast amounts of unnecessary other crap, by that point piled quite deep- at the same time as Teacher S came in saying the Ready To Go Intermediate 2 book was nowhere (it was on the shelf just above the normal RTG shelf…I found it after 1 min of looking)- and told me he couldn’t find the RTG Upper Int book and how was he supposed to teach anything without the book? And could he have the RTG CD as well? So, as I was searching for the book, I explained there was no RTG cd, because RTG is a resource pack made of numerous varied sources.

‘But you gave me one yesterday!’ he wailed.

‘I did not, Teacher B- I gave you the Face 2 Face cd. There is no RTG cd’ I replied calmly ‘But it’s no good! I need the Rtg cd and book!’

‘But there isn’t one. It doesn’t exist!’

I’m still searching the room for both books.

Teacher B moans on about the impossibility of dealing with the RTG program because the Face2Face pages are simply incomprehensible. And where can he get a Face2Face cd?

‘It’s in the same place we got it from last time, Teacher B’ I said, pointing to the drawer.  He pokes idly at the contents, clearly baffled by the concept of multiple CDs.

‘The blue one, Teacher B’ I say, still searching for the RTG books. ‘No, not the Cutting Edge Starter cd- the dark blue double one’

‘But it says here that I need the RTG cd and book!’ he moans, pointing at a page in the RTG Upper Int book, which he had in his hands the whole time. *head desk* It was open to an instruction page that was titled Ready to Go Something Something.

‘How am I supposed to understand this nonsense?’ He wailed, pointing at the fairly straightforward instruction page. ‘Face2Face is utterly incomprehensible! It would take me years to begin to understand any of it!’

*massive head desk*

* Oh, did I mention that Teacher A missed his 12:30  class because the 9-11 am oral testing session I organised with Nuray at Ülker was suddenly extended until 1pm, even though he told her repeatedly that he had a lesson? Even though she had promised me it would be 9-11 am and we had Teacher R booked to get the rest of the testing done today? She said that the oral testing was much more important and that he must meet the managers etc. He called me at 12:30 (lesson time) to say he was still out at Ülker and wouldn’t make his lesson. I had to get scary, finger-pointing Ebru to CALL and cancel. Aghhhh!*
